550 Barchetta

One of the most unique looking Ferrari would have to be the 550 Barchetta Pininfarina. This unusual designed vehicle is equipped with an open-top V12 front engine, which is classic in a Ferrari sports car. It’s smooth exterior finish comes with a body-coloured finish. The windscreen, which is 100mm lower than the Maranello, is given a traditional barchetta-style cut.

This model was designed and created for reflecting the past by exclusively being used as an open-air vehicle. Though it is still given a manual soft-top in case of any emergencies that may arise. Because of the manual soft-top, Ferrari engineers found a way to offset any additonal weight by reinforcing the framework of the vehicle and fitting the rear roll bars.

Some of the beauties that are adorned on the exterior of the 550 Barchetta are the exclusive Ferrari badges, which are located on the wheelarches and two peice alloy wheels. When being compared, the experts found that it did not weigh anymore then the Maranello.

The interior of the vehicle has the sports car quality that people crave for in a Ferrari. The seats are pure leather and and are made out of carbon-fibre, giving you that race car feel. Anyone who is sitting in the driver’s seat will notice that they are encompassed by the wrap around dashboard and they are enhanced by the ideal ergonomics. Again this gives the driver that race car feeling that they love.

For safety precautions the Ferrari engineers made sure that they lined the rear roll bars with impact absorbing material. This will give the vehicle structural rigidity and will protect anyone on the vehicle in case of an accident.
