Eddie Griffin’s Crashed Enzo Restored

Eddie Griffin - the actor and comedian - crashed his Ferrari Enzo during a promotional shoot for the new movie ‘Redline’. Everyone was convinced that the Ferrari was totaled and beyond hope or repair. That is why we were surprised to find it up for auction this week.

Ferrai Not Happy With Formula One Changes

The FIA stated that all drivers must use a hybrid in the Formula One 2009 season if they wish to compete. These new rules are being enforces in order to meet the standards that have been set up by the Kinetic Energy Recovery System.

Teams all across the board have been caught off guard by this new rule. Ferrari was one of the first to speak out. Piero Ferrari – son of Enzo and Vice President of Ferrari – was noticeably angry by the change and is afraid that they will lose thousands of dollars trying to create new engines for their team.

2003 Enzo

Ferrari is, above all else, a historical manufacturer of racing cars, but it also produces an incredible stable of street cars. Together, they handcraft limited-edition machines that redefine extreme sports-car possibilities: the ‘84 288 GTO, ‘87 F40, ‘95 F50, and now the ‘03 Enzo. Just 399 of them will be made, one each day. All have been purchased without so much as a test drive by Ferrari’s most preferred customers.

The Ferrari Enzo was dubbed this special name as a tribute to Ferrari’s founder and in celebration of the company’s ongoing success in the Formula 1 race. The Enzo represents a modern expression of Ferrari’s obsession for technology, performance and eye-catching style. The Enzo became a great hit and was viewed as the next best supercar of 2002.
